Stronger connections, in life and on the water
Four Gastaldi Group companies have joined forces to help DragonJeans APS, a Genova-based association supporting women affected by breast cancer, acquire two indoor rowing machines. A practical contribution that helps its members keep training, building confidence and strengthening connections all year round.
From shared commitment to stronger connections
At Gastaldi Group, we believe strong connections begin close to home. That’s why four of our companies — Delta Global Freightways, Delta Agenzia Marittima, Gastaldi & C., and Medocean Shipping Agency — have come together to support DragonJeans APS, a local association that brings women who have undergone breast cancer surgery together through sport.
Founded in February 2023, DragonJeans APS offers women a welcoming place to exercise, share experiences and support one another. Through dragon boat paddling, the association brings breast cancer survivors and supporters together, helping them build confidence, friendships and a sense of belonging.
Dragon boating is all about teamwork. Twenty paddlers move in rhythm, guided by a drummer and a steersperson. It takes cooperation, trust and a shared sense of purpose — qualities that make the sport particularly valuable for women looking to reconnect with others after breast cancer treatment.
The DragonJeans team trains at the Circolo Canoistico Gruppo Sportivo Canottaggio Speranza in Genova Prà. To help members stay active when conditions make outdoor paddling difficult, our four companies contributed to the purchase of two indoor rowing machines. The new equipment gives the team more opportunities to train throughout the year, maintaining the routine and connections that make DragonJeans special.
